indoor, for rainy days
There are 14 crazy golf, mini golf and putting courses on the Isle of Wight in 2026. The best cluster is on Shanklin Esplanade, where Pirates Cove, Jurassic Bay and the indoor Caddyshack course sit within a few minutes' walk of each other. Sandown has the big dinosaur adventure golf course at Dino Islands, an indoor course on the pier and the old-school putting greens at Browns. Ryde has pirate golf at Peter Pan's and a seaside course at Puckpool Park.
If it's raining, head for Caddyshack or Lost World on Sandown Pier, which are both indoors. For a full day out where the golf is included in the ticket, Robin Hill and Tapnell Farm are the ones to look at.
Prices below are the adult price for one round. We checked them in October 2026 against each venue's own website or its Visit Isle of Wight listing. Where we couldn't confirm a current price we say so, rather than repeat an old one.

Outdoor courses mostly run Easter to October. Rylstone and Dino Islands close in winter.

Three Shanklin courses sit within a few minutes' walk of each other on the Esplanade.

Shanklin has more courses than anywhere else on the island: three on the Esplanade and a fourth in Rylstone Gardens, at the top of the cliff by Shanklin Chine. You could play all four in an afternoon. The crazy golf day out route shows how to link them up with the two Sandown seafront courses.

Sandown's three courses are spread along the seafront: Lost World on the pier, then Dino Islands and Browns at the Culver Parade end, next to Dinosaur Isle museum.

A big 18-hole course built by Rockart in 2019, with life-size dinosaurs, volcanoes, bridges and waterfalls. Adults £8, children (3 to 17) £7. An all-in ticket for the golf, the Skynets bounce park and Sandham Karts is £22, and islanders get 20% off with ID.

Browns Golf, Sandown
Not crazy golf, but the island's best-known putting course: families have played here since 1932. There is an 18-hole short putting course, an 18-hole long putting course and a 12-hole pitch and putt, plus a café.

Pirate-themed crazy golf at Peter Pan's seafront funfair and amusements, a short walk from Ryde's beach. Visitors have recently reported around £4 a head, but we couldn't confirm a 2026 price.

An 18-hole woodland course with vintage Robin Hill themed holes in the park's Lower Valley. It is included in the day ticket, which is priced by date (Visit Isle of Wight lists online tickets from £14.99 off-peak); the Adrenaline Zone is ticketed separately.

Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park, Wroxall

Calbourne Water Mill closed as a visitor attraction in April 2024, after its pit wheel broke. The owners said at the time that the café and adventure golf would open in summer with free entry, but we couldn't confirm that it is open in 2026, so it is no longer in our count.
