Making a wet day work

  • Look at the hourly forecast, not just the daily symbol. Plenty of wet days have a dry spell, and that is the time for the outdoor half of a "good for showers" place.
  • The indoor attractions fill up fast on the first wet morning of a school holiday. Arrive at opening, or book where you can.
  • Stay away from the foot of the cliffs during and just after heavy rain, when falls are most likely. That matters most on the soft south-west coast.
